Perfect Purple and Pink Paisley

Hello friends!  I just want to say Thank you to everyone out there reading this, because you are why I blog.  Unfortunately, I do not blog often.  This is definitely not because I have nothing to blog, but because I am so busy with clients and such that I do not make time for the blog.  So when I do, I appreciate the positive feedback, I get from some consistent blog stalkers!

On to bigger and better things than me… Annie and Eric.  Their wedding was this weekend and it was absolutely beautiful.  Down to every little detail, these two had it figured out.  I started working with Annie on her magnet save the dates, about this time of last year and we have since completed these beautiful paisley invitations and now photographed their wedding!  Crazy!  Annie, I can’t believe its been a year!  Annie is great, because she had a vision in her head and went with it and kept up with it and it showed on their wedding day.  They say, “it is all in the details.”  This could not have been more true than with Annie!

Thanks for letting us design your wedding invitations, you were such a pleasure to work with!

Now, we just need to get started on the beautiful wedding album!

P.S. I know the wedding photos are not up yet, but they will be soon, so keep checking the incredible Holli B Photography blog for wedding pictures of Annie and Eric.

Kyle and Meredith

Meet Kyle and Meredith.  Kyle happens to be my brother and that would make Meredith my soon to be sister-in-law.  We’ll just call each other sisters though, because we happen to really like each other.  And although she already has a sister, I do not, so she’ll be my sister! (I lied. I have a sister, Stephanie, she is my husband’s sister.  We call each other sisters too.  It’s more fun!)

So here they are, the happy couple.  I took these pictures back in April, when the weather was beautiful!  We had a lot of fun.  I was a little nervous about how Kyle would do, me being his sister and all, but I was very proud of him! And Meredith, well isn’t my sister gorgeous?   I think she is just great!  I am so happy for them.  They really like each other… it’s cute.

I am choosing to post these today, since they are getting married in just 2 days!  As I post this, I am getting very excited for all of their wedding festivities to begin!

Sorry for the lengthy post. I had a hard time choosing my favorites.

So excited for Sunday!

Pocketfold Invitations

Okay, I am just going to say it, this one is for Lauren.  Sometimes I am wonder if anyone actually reads this thing, but she has assured me that some ONE does.  So thank you to Lauren, I am encouraged to update.

Now onto the beautiful pocketfold invitations.  These beauties are very popular right now.  The metallic pocketfold is just stunning and it holds all of the essential pieces together in one place.  It folds up nicely and is held together with a custom designed seal. There are of course other variations to this i.e. coordinating bands, clasps, loops, etc.  You name it, we can accomplish it!

They are addressed with a coordinating designed label that not only has your guest’s address but also your return address on the back, all in one single label.   These score high on the convenience scale.  If you can afford to higher a calligrapher – YOU GO GIRL!  But for those that cannot, this is a very elegant way to address all of your wedding invitations.  Labels are also the perfect solution for addressing on colored envelopes.  Sometimes envelopes are too dark to print on or address with a pen. And so, I have your solution: labels.

There are so many things that I love about these invitations.

I love the pocket.  I always have, maybe that is why I loved overalls so much, they had pockets everywhere!  I was the kid who always choose the back pack with the most pockets and zippers.

I love the colored envelope.  If this thing came to my mailbox, I would drop all the mail and open this one – FIRST!  Maybe I would only open this one.  I think if they started sending bills in colored envelopes, I would pay them quicker… just a suggestion.

I love the simplicity of the design.  It is so simple and classy, but it still feel so fun!  That maybe the definition of my style: simple and classy, but SUPER DUPER FUN.  I’m just sayin’!

Okay, well that may be a little too much of my personality for you guys in blog world, but there it is you know.  And here are the photos that say way more than my words ever could!

Congrats Lacey and Kevin – heard your wedding was beautiful!

Evrett Eason

A few months ago, this cute boy was born. He was a few weeks early and tiny. He weighed in at 5lbs 11 oz.  Just a little guy!

We were able to get some newborn shots of himand he was such a good model!  He got a little hungry at times and a little frustrated without clothes on, but we gave him a pacifier and just kept shooting.

This shoot was so much fun, mom had some fun ideas and was willing to do anything we needed to get a cute photo.

Evrett’s parents are huge baseball fans and it was a goal of ours to get some pictures of him in his dad’s baseball glove.  It was definitely a little more difficult than either of us thought, but we got a few.

Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention his full head of hair.  I mean full – lots of dark hair on this kid!  Mom spiked his hair into a mohawk for his big photo shoot!  You look good dude, you look good!

Well enough already, here are the pictures of handsome mister Evrett:

By the end of the morning we had worn him out, thanks for being a good sport! Soon we’ll have picture of his baby announcements to post!  Keep checkin’ back.  Thanks.

Square Wedding Invitations

Casey and Cody are getting married on Saturday!!!

Aren’t they beautiful?  Holli Brewer of Holli B Photography took their engagement photos.  She did an incredible job. You can see more of there photos from their engagement shoot here.

Casey wanted square invitations on orange metallic paper.

Again love these labels.   These were a new shape and on cream paper, so good lookin’.

I think these orange metallic envelopes with the label look so sharp!

Orange Envelopes

Map Card

Written directions are sometimes just not enough info.  Especially if you have guests coming from two opposite directions.  Or if you are having the ceremony and reception at different locations.  Maps are a great solution to the direction problem.  Everyone loves a visual!

Postcard RSVP cards can make for some really fun designs!  I would like to say that statistics show that 100% of people who receive RSVP cards return them.  But that would be a lie.  I feel your pain, not sure how we can make it any easier on guests to respond.  I’ll let you know when I solve this problem!

This is the complete sweet.  They look so good – we were all VERY proud of them!

Happy wedding week Casey and Cody!  Hope everything is coming together as smoothly as your invitations!

Super Fun, One-of-a-Kind Invitations

These amazing invitations were definitely a custom design.  During our consultation the bride said she wanted something unique and different than other invitations.  She also said she wasn’t too picky and was open to being creative and doing a little assembly.  And ta-da!  Aren’t these invitations gorgeous and so fun… I’m telling you, it is really fun to get creative and design invitations that are not only unique but are also custom designed to match your perfect wedding.

What truly made these wedding invitations was not only the detail, but the hard work the bride put into assembling them.  I know many brides want to pick up their invitations and address them and drop them in the mail and that can be oh so convenient, but for those brides that have some extra time or just have the desire to assemble their invitations, it sure pays off.

These invitations have a little pocket that holds all three of the cards that are included: invitation, RSVP postcard and a Direction card.

I always think it is a great idea to use a pocket of some sort to hold together all the pieces of your invitation.  Behind the invitation was the RSVP card and behind it was the Direction card.  These cards had a tapered height, which allowed guests to see both “tabs”.

Since many of their guests were from out of town we went ahead and listed the Accommodations on the back of the Directions.  This is a great way to accomplish everything, while saving some paper and money!

And lastly, I have to point out our favorite new design trend: custom designed mail merged labels.  Let me explain to you how this works and just how fabulous they are.  We design a label that complements your wedding invitations and that also includes your return address.  Then we merge your guest list onto the labels.  Then all that you have to do is affix the labels to the envelopes!

It. Is. That. Simple.

That simple people.  I mean this single label includes your guest’s address and your return address; how convenient is that? This trend is definitely taking off.  We are using them on different sized and shaped invitations.  Check back with us and we will post some other ways to affix these labels.

Aimee and Michael are getting married this weekend, so I thought in celebration of them I would post their invitations!  Have a great wedding, we cannot wait to see pictures… will be watching Holli’s blog closely to see a sneak peak at your wedding day photos!

Here is a super sweet photo from their engagement shoot.  Holli sent it to me and I think it is just perfect.  You can see more of their photos here.

We would love to help you design wedding invitations that match your wedding style!

Wedding Programs

Do not forget wedding programs!  I mean it.  Just because you do not think they are that important, I am here to tell you; they are.  I hate going to weddings and not getting a program.  What else am I suppose to do while I wait on all the guests to arrive?

What if the bride’s processional is a really awesome song?

Or if a single person at your wedding wanted to know who the attractive bridesmaids or groomsmen were?

How else are you going to say, Thank you friends and family for coming to our AWESOME wedding?

What if I forget your new husband’s name and I do not awkwardly want to ask when I see you later?  If I had my handy dandy program, I would know your names and maybe some other cool stuff about you!

I’m just saying… there are plenty of reasons why you should have programs at your wedding.  And they are not that expensive.  Just email me and I’ll tell ya!

Here are a few different programs we have done lately.

Bye for now, let me know if I can design some beautiful wedding invitations for you

Save the Date Magnets

We are now designing custom Save the Date Magnets!  And they are fabulous!  We have done a few lately and they are turning out great!  Magnets make such great save the dates, because your guest can throw them on their fridge and they do not have to worry about them falling off or getting dirty or being thrown away.

If you have followed our blog at all, you know that we are huge advocates for using your engagement pictures.  I love getting pictures of my friends.  And the magnets seem to stick around the longest.  My friend sent me one a year ago announcing her wedding last May and it is still on our fridge.  I mean it is just convenient and I really like them! :)

Please contact us if you are interested in having custom save the date magnets made for your upcoming wedding!  And keep checking back, there is more to come!

Jury Duty

That is right… today I start Jury Duty.  I have to be there by 9 am, and I am praying, and so is my mother-in-law, that I do not get chosen.  Apparently there is a rather slim chance that I will get “chosen” to actually sit on the jury.  If you do not, you get to go home…. which is where I need to be.  So if I don’t get back to you this week, you can assume that I am officially a juror.

Enjoy your week!

Thank you Cards

I have the answer to every bride and groom’s Thank you card search.   I have begun to design these really cute cards, using the one of the bride and groom’s engagement pictures.  I mean I completely believe in plastering your beautiful faces all over people’s refrigerator, you just need to give them the opportunity, you know?  Save the Dates, Thank you cards, Christmas cards, Baby Announcements, etc.

As an engaged or newly married couple you go to multiple showers and receive SOOO many gifts and it is such an incredible blessing.  But many times it is difficult to fill the space of some the folded thank you cards out there and it fills a little lame to write one sentence in a big card. And how fun is it to use one of your incredibly fabulous engagement pictures?

But one of my favorite things about these Thank You cards, is that you can use them for so many different things.  I have tons left over from our wedding and I write notes to my friends and family on them all the time.  They make a perfect set of stationary even after you are married.  Not to mention how personal they are.  I love getting cards with people’s faces on them, instead of formal cards.

So if you are interested in getting some personalized Thank you cards like these, please feel free to contact me!

Happy Monday!
